Measure around fullest part, or better still

lay an item of clothing that fits you well flat on a table

and measure armpit to armpit with the fastening done up.

Remember coats are normally worn over other clothes, allow for this.

2. WAIST
Measure around natural waistline, or, as most fabrics stretch over time,

measure a pair of trousers that fit you well by laying flat on a surface

with the fastening done up, double this measurement, that's your waist.

3. INSEAM
Measure a pair of trousers that fit you

well from the crotch seam to the hem.
